Scouting fun for the whole family!​  JOIN US!

  • FAMILY PROGRAMING!  Our program is family-oriented and everyone is welcome to attend and participate in our events. 
    Starting in 2018, we are welcoming Girls & their families to join up too! 
     

  • THE GREAT OUTDOORS!  We strive to get Cubs into the great outdoors with camping and hiking events throughout the year.  In addition to seeking advancement at the “Den” or grade level, the Pack hosts several signature events, including our annual Fisher Farm Scouting Skills day in September, Pinewood Derby in the Spring and our year-end “Cuboree” camp-out in April.
     

  • SCOUT RANK ADVANCEMENT.  Cub Advancements usually happen at the Den level and events such as Fisher Farm give us more opportunities to help meet requirements.  Our records are tracked on-line (not in the handbooks) and parents can also sign-off electronically to help keep the pace for missed den meetings.  We target early March for completion, awarding Rank at Blue & Gold.
     

  • YOUTH PROTECTION.  Safety is paramount at Pack 58 and we strictly adhere to BSA's top-notch Youth Protection Standards at all our events.

Hello and thanks for visiting our website.  I’m Rob Dellinger, Cubmaster of Pack 58.    We are Davidson’s Pack and have been spreading Scout Spirit in North Mecklenburg since 1947... 70 years!

 

Growing up, I was a Cub Scout and went on to earn my Eagle in 1989.  I have personally been involved with the Pack since my eldest son joined as a Tiger in 2009.  It has been gratifying to see my boys and others gain confidence through our program, all the while having fun and making new friends.

 

Pack 58 is fortunate to be led by an amazing volunteer army of parents, who help mentor our boys in a variety of roles… we would not be successful without their dedication and enthusiasm!

 

Please come out and join any event to get a sense of what we’re all about.  Our boys & girls hail from all area schools (CMS, CSD, PLP, Davidson Day, Woodlawn & more).  We welcome any newcomers with open arms!

**FOOTNOTE:  Dens are NOT co-ed. Girl-only dens were formed in September 2018 and they rocked it!
ALSO, a new Girl-Only Troop 58 formed in February 2019 and now has over 20 girls!  Click on the above to link to the Troop websites... they are still 2 different units with a "shared" committee. 
Venture Crew 58 is a High-School co-ed program that offers a "high-adventure" focused program for older youth.
