ABOUT P58

Pack 58 was first chartered in 1947 and is part of Mecklenburg County Council.  Our chartering org is the Davidson Lion's Club. We also enjoy strong support from the local faith community including Davidson United Methodist Church, Davidson College Presbyterian Church, St. Albans Episcopal and Temple Kol Tikvah.

JOIN US!

All elementary school children are welcome to join!  Boys & Girls will be organized in separate "Dens" by gender & grade level.  The "Pack" will meet as a whole the last Monday of the month.  Pack 58 encourages the whole family to join in the fun!

Community...

Community Service is a priority for Pack 58. 

Selling Popcorn is the main source of funding for our program.  The Pack sets aside a portion of net proceeds to fund Service Projects. 
In 2025 & 2026, the Pack worked on a special community-wide initiave.  Participating Cubs earned the "Messenger of Peace" Award!  STAY TUNED FOR MORE INFO ON OUR SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES THIS FALL!

Camping & Outdoor Adventure!

Pack 58 focuses on Scouting's roots... THE GREAT OUTDOORS!  We sponsor Campouts, hikes & Scouting Skills Days to get families into the Great Outdoors and off of screens.  Our  goal is simple.....

MORE TIME OUTSIDE EXPLORING NATURE!!

Every November, we set-off on a different adventure to learn, explore and have fun.  Last November, we camped in a cave in east Tennessee!  This year, we will venture down to Charleston, SC and visit the USS Yorktown.  This WWII Aircraft Carrier has a storied history.  Cubs can sleepover on the ship!
